Context
Between 2022 and 2024, I led the replatforming of four brands with high ambitions and very real constraints. Carlton Cannes, Champagne Lanson, Smets and Sartore each came to us with different objectives, but shared one key challenge: how to deliver a visually refined, immersive experience without losing clarity, speed, or conversion performance.
This wasn’t about designing galleries. It was about building commerce platforms that looked and felt like the brand while performing like true digital engines.
My priority was to find the right balance. Each site needed to feel crafted, elegant and immersive, but never at the expense of user flow or results. Every experience had to look proprietary and premium, yet stay focused on performance and conversion. That meant applying a clear CRO approach from the start, and shaping each platform around it.
Shopify was not a compromise. It was a strategic choice to move faster, deliver better, and scale with control.
My Role
I led each project from start to finish, acting as strategic lead and platform architect.
I defined the user experience and CMS structure, aligned funnel mechanics with business KPIs, and oversaw all workstreams across design, development, SEO, CRM, content and analytics. I also made sure each platform remained easy to operate post-launch, with clean governance, no vendor lock-in, and maximum agility.
Each site was delivered in under six months, live, scalable and high-performing.
What I delievered
Carlton Cannes
Redefining digital elegance for an icon of French hospitality
We delivered the full platform in just three months to coincide with the hotel’s reopening. It featured a multilingual CMS, modular content structure, and an integrated booking system.
The design balanced Belle Époque heritage with contemporary codes, and gave internal teams the ability to manage content and updates autonomously.
The result was a digital experience fully aligned with the brand's new chapter.
Champagne Lanson
Blending heritage storytelling with a sharp commerce engine
For Lanson, we designed a platform that feels more like a curated experience than a transactional site. Every detail was thought through to reflect the quiet luxury and historical depth of the maison.
We built an immersive, editorial journey that balances performance and emotion. The structure is clean and refined, with long-scroll storytelling, intelligent content reveals, and subtle interactive touches. We used the brand’s iconic red cross to anchor the scroll and introduced fine UI gestures that elevated the navigation without overwhelming it.
At every stage, the site offers content that feels like a conversation with a connoisseur. Product pages are precise but never pushy. Information is elegantly dispersed across the journey — tastings, ambassador stories, booking for estate visits, and behind-the-scenes insights — all carefully orchestrated within the same platform.
The funnel was fully optimized, but never at the expense of brand experience. This is not a catalogue. It’s a digital expression of the Lanson philosophy: elegant, discreet, and rooted in meaning.
Translating curatorial excellence into digital performance
SMETS
Smets is a family-led, avant-garde luxury retailer known for its sharp curation across fashion, beauty, design and culture. With five stores in Luxembourg and a flagship in Brussels, the brand needed a platform that could reflect its eclectic universe while delivering structure, clarity and performance online.
The challenge: unify a rich, multi-category offer into a seamless digital experience, without losing Smets’ editorial depth or visual identity. The previous site lacked coherence, struggled with navigation, and underperformed in conversion.
We rebuilt the platform on Shopify Plus with a mobile-first approach, advanced filtering, cross-category discovery and editorial landing pages. I structured the UX to support storytelling and transaction equally, and gave the internal team full autonomy through a clean, modular CMS. We also introduced a distinctive visual grammar to bring consistency across the experience.
The result:
+70% online revenue
+10% sessions
+11% mobile engagement
Smets now operates a digital platform that mirrors the ambition of its physical spaces — curated, flexible, and built to scale.
SARTORE
Modernising a heritage shoe house for global growth
Founded in the 1930s, Sartore is a symbol of French luxury footwear, blending artisanal tradition with contemporary design. Known for its distinctive boots and understated sophistication, the brand set out to modernise its digital presence and scale internationally.
We rebuilt the platform on Shopify in just six months, creating a high-performing, mobile-first site that balanced brand elegance with commerce efficiency.
A modular block system now gives the team full autonomy to manage key pages, while curated visuals and a clean interface reflect Sartore’s craftsmanship.
Advanced product filtering, wishlist, Click & Collect, boutique availability, and multi-language and currency selectors ensure the experience works seamlessly across markets.
From launch, the platform delivered faster load times, improved SEO visibility and stronger engagement. The mobile-first UX and tactical features boosted user satisfaction, while conversion performance increased thanks to simplified navigation and integrated commerce elements.
Sartore now has a global-ready digital flagship that supports its brand elevation and commercial growth in equal measure.
